Bruce: Fülöp on Cusp of Joining Town Sunday, 1st Aug 2010 10:12 by TWTD.co.uk Sunderland boss Steve Bruce says he expects Márton Fülöp’s move to Town to go through. The Hungarian international keeper has been talking personal terms with the Blues for more than a week. Bruce says he is happy for the switch to be completed despite having a number of goalkeepers out injured at present: “Márton Fülöp is on the cusp of joining Ipswich — talks are going on chairman-to-chairman. It looks like it will go through and I’m not going to stop that one.” Fülöp looks likely to have to take a pay-cut to join Town and the clubs may have to settle the remaining year of the 27-year-old’s Black Cats contract, with a fee of £750,000 understood to have been agreed.
