Rochdale AFC’s matchday programme – The Voice of Spotland – is back for Saturday’s League One game against Colchester United.

The programme has been increased to 76 pages this season, but with the same number of advert pages as last year, meaning there is even more to keep you entertained before, during and after the match.

We start with a front cover image of club captain Gary Jones celebrating at the end of Dale’s fantastic Carling Cup win at Barnsley last week.

As usual, there are the serious and not-so-serious articles, together with the usual high quality pictures from the Bradford and Hartlepool games by photographer Jon Coluccio.

Keith Hill gives his thoughts on the start to the season, while the Dale Supporters Trust make their first contribution of the campaign.

A new style Dale Quiz has been compiled to test the grey matter Scrutator is back with his forthright views on the game.

Traveller’s Tales reports on the pre-season trip to Bury, while there are in-depth previews of forthcoming home and away fixtures.

Of course, there are many new features, including The Day I Was Born, where we look back at what was happening when Dale winger Matty Done came into the world.

Visitors Colchester get nine pages of coverage, with My First Time reflecting on a visit to Layer Road where the action in a local bathroom caught the writer’s eye!

All this and much, much more will be in Saturday’s The Voice of Spotland, on sale in the Club Shop and around the ground, priced £3.00.
