Crawley boss Steve Evans says on-loan Town midfielder Andy Drury wants to join the League Two side on a permanent basis. The 27-year-old netted the third goal of his 93-day spell at the Broadfield Stadium yesterday as the Red Devils beat Oxford United 4-1 at home.
Evans said: "He wants to join us on a permanent basis. But we will worry about that in January.
"In his words we have revised his thoughts about football — he enjoys coming to work every day."
Last week Blues boss Paul Jewell said he hadn’t entirely ruled Drury, who is back at Portman Road in mid-December, out of his plans but with the framework for a permanent move having been agreed when the £150,000 signing from Luton joined the League Two club in September, it seems likely the one-time builder will be leaving Portman Road.
Elsewhere, Jaime Peters was an unused sub as his loan club won 1-0 at Wycombe Wanderers.
