Pre-Season Guide To...Kidderminster Harriers
2004/2005 Preview - Kidderminster Harriers |
LAST SEASON Kiddie were another one of those sides that got caught in the midtable melee of last season, finishing in 16th place, 4 points behind the Swans. WHAT HAVE THEY BEEN UP TO THIS SUMMER? It's not been overly busy there this summer especially with Jan Molby being away on media duty in Portugal. However, they have picked up the signing of Lee Mills from Telford United and formerly of Bradford, Coventry and Portsmouth. Reuben Hazell arrived from Torquay this week Ian Foster and former Swan Richie Appleby have also returned to the club this summer. Currently on trial they have Adam Flynn (Liverpool) Jamie Gleeson (Southampton), Ruadhri Higgins (Coventry) another ex-Swan Richard Jones (Southampton), Simon Russell (Hull), Paul Scott (Huddersfield) and Jimmy Turner (Derby) Out of Kiddie this summer have been Dean Bennett (Wrexham), Adam Murray (Mansfield), Adam Willis (Hinckley United), John Williams (Bath City), Matt Gadsby (Forest Green) and Craig Hinton (Bristol Rovers) WHO ARE THEIR FAMOUS FANS? For those fans of the Chris Moyles show, Rachel Jones is a Kiddie fan by all accounts as is Robert Plant although he splits his loyalties with Wolves as well. 5 THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT KIDDERMINSTER
ARE WE ANY GOOD AGAINST KIDDERMINSTER? 6 league games have produced two wins each with, unsurprisingly the other two games being draws! However, courtesy of some Welsh Cup games and one FA Cup tie we have met 15 times, with the Swans winning on 8 occasions to Harriers three. The third anniversary of 9/11 sees Kiddie visit the Vetch whilst it will be a festive visit to Aggborough this season - we visit there on Boxing Day IF I WANT TO FIND OUT MORE WHERE DO I GO? I struggle to recommend the Rivals site for Kiddie but it is linked to below - in fairness most of the Kiddie sites are quite quiet. The one though at this link is probably the best of the bunch unless you want a peek at the official site. WHAT ARE THEIR CHANCES NEXT SEASON? Sorry Kiddie fans you may not want to hear this but for you I fear it may be Conference Calling. Hope for your sake I'm wrong. |
