This game cannot be described any other way than a disaster.
Saints had no excuses for this defeat, Rupert lowe couldnt be blamed and neither could it be said the crowd was anything other than supportive, but sadly the occasion overcame the team and as hard as they tried things just wouldnt go right.
Sometimes this sort of thing happens, Charlton a team who are just about relegated even after this win, came out and played with no fear, anyone who has played the game will tell you, sometimes with no pressure everything comes off and this was the case for Charlton.
In contrast Saints let the pressure get on top of them, many players had poor games, but every player gave their all, sadly all the luck had deserted them though.
But this game is a disaster, not the end of Saints and there are still a lot of points to be won before the end of the season.
