Bolton manager Gary Megson rules out a summer move for Ferrie Bodde
The Premier League club were linked with a move for Bodde in the January transfer window before Ferrie suffered an injury that was to end his season early in November.
By that time he had lived up to his pre-season hype that had seen a very public chase from Derby County ultimately end in failure but was also attracting a lot of interest from clubs in the Premiership.
However, the injury - suffered in the 3-2 home defeat by Birmingham - ended his season early although there was speculation last week that Bolton could come back in in the summer - a move that was quashed by Megson - a one time Swansea City managerial target.
Megson told the Bolton News: “We had an interest in him but he was unfortunate enough to pick up a really bad injury,” he explained. “I think people have put two and two together from there with the recent stuff.”
Bodde is on course to return to training in pre-season and should be ready when the Swans kick off their new campaign in August.
