Bondz N'Gala wants Pompey to put together their first winning run of the season to climb away from danger.
They take on York at Fratton Park this weekend knowing three points are vital. And they'll need more than a single victory to keep away from the relegation battle.
N'Gala, who was in the Pompey side who lost 4-2 at York in September, told The News: 'It’s a critical time now. We have to put a run of wins together and we have to do it now. We need to get higher up the league and the sooner we get up the league the better.
‘We’re professional footballers and we have to deal with pressure at home. We have to perform. It’s that time now when he know we have to deliver. There’s no excuses now.
‘We have to give the fans something to smile about at Fratton Park. We have to make sure we are at it from the start and go out and put in a performance.’
‘We owe York one after the away game at their place. We have to show them what we are made of at Fratton Park.'
