Yellow cards weren't needed for new boy Julien de Sart, he made half time before being pulled off and that down to a very generous manager. De Sart never got to terms with the pace of the game.
He wasn't the only one. Abdoul Camara looked out of his depth and was replaced by Matej Vydra.
It was also a game too far for Jamie Hanson whose honest endeavours fell well short of those required to succeed at this level.
Yet the daft thing.
For all Leeds possession, for all their penetration, for all their shots on goal we could have scored.

Second half, Darren Bent charging down the goalkeeper’s clearance, the ball ending up in the Peacocks net, and the referee ruling it was handball.
And whilst the referee wasn't the best he was certainly better than us.

Last throw of the dice, David Nugent, like playing Craps and throwing off the table.
Leeds, inventive, powerful, direct fully deserved their win.
The result flattered Derby County.
And as a fan brought up In the Clough Revie years it hurts to say that.
Really hurts.
If only our players felt the same.
