His father stated.
“It is a great achievement for him and the family. I have always wanted him to be in the National Team,” he said.
“He settled well in the club; he is the number one goalkeeper there and he is in one of the best leagues in the world. He barely signed, we all said, ‘now how can they not call him to La Roja’.
“If they didn’t call him now, they weren’t going to do it anymore… I always had faith that this was going to happen.
“The night before last I spoke with him and he told me that he was dead, because they had hit him hard (laughs), although he already has the rhythm here. He is happy.
“I told him one day that, because of the confidence with which I see him, he can be on any team. It is impossible for him not to succeed, one day he will be given the opportunity. Now no one can say anything about the team he is on.”
