QPR trounced in final home game as Burnley run riot - Report
at 23:13 28 Apr 2025

I watched as Ashby as he walked below us in the upper loft and around south africa rd to the dug out - it was almost all kids either asking for hand slaps or autographs.
Ashby definitely not my favourite player, but full marks for making a kids day by responding like that - Coupled with the Under 9's doing a lap of honour, this was the highlight of the day.
I left on the final whistle, was not going to stomach our team coming back out.
I will however be renewing, because 53 seasons of visiting Loftus Rd tells me all these things are circular... some years we're decent, but more years than most we are poor...

This, all day long.
Seriously don't understand what some people expect.... team has been pulled together from DS team, youth, loan signings and various players returning early from injuries.

Marti on today's defeat
at 23:07 21 Apr 2025

I rate him and respect him both as a manager and as an honourable person.
As he alludes to in the interview, the squad has been massively affected by injuries this season. I hope that he stays because we need some level of consistency and continuity - I genuinely feel that if he had a squad of fit players we would have been 3/4 places further up the table which would definitely demonstrate improvement.
As mentioned, I think the only way he will not be on board next season is if someone comes in with an offer.
Sadly, there will be a number of championship teams with bigger budgets than our selves short of a manager come mid May.
Let's hope he stays....

Analysis of Marti's philosophy
at 08:50 21 Apr 2025

Really good question.
Two typically different players in Allen and Taraabt though.
I feel like Allen came up through the ranks/family connection and always felt quite orthodox whilst extremely talented. Where as Taraabt felt quite the opposite and took someone like Warnock to harness and play to his unique strengths.
Marti appears much more of a team development manager rather than focusing on individual talents... kind of reflected in his squad rotation and strong use of substitutions.
It would be an amazing problem for Marti to have though....

Medium toasted, smothered with ANCHOR butter, the slightest touch of some strawberry or raspberry jam. Double espresso, followed by another double espresso.

Sheff Wed owner in trouble again....
at 23:08 31 Mar 2025

Players not been paid again for March at Wednesday, the Chansiri bloke has dropped them in it again...
Must be incredibly frustrating for their fans and management team - best manager they've had in years, about to walk out the door for Southampton and then this happens again..
Nightmare.

Let's be frank, Real Madrid only have to defend against 4 sides in the Spanish league, so you'll see him in a much more advanced role.
European competition might be different, but only really in the later stages...

Tommy Tuchel's blue and white army????

What's our thoughts on TT's start in managing our English side?
Besides the fact he's an ex scum manager, personally I find him a pretty unpleasant and odious character.
But do we forgive these facts if he gets this clearly talented team firing on all cylinders? Are his past misdemeanours forgiven if he gets a song out of this team?
Eddie Howe lifting the league Cup last week has only reiterated my belief that he should have got the job - but maybe he's the next manager in waiting...
What do we think??

Time to play our own
at 13:22 7 Mar 2025

I kind of understand this wish to play our own above loan players and it does make sense - however can't the same thing be said about contracted players that are no longer going to be with us next season? Aren't we playing those players for someone else to benefit from next season?
Where do you draw the line on that basis?

friendly advice is this:
The art of living is the art of knowing how to believe in lies - Do it or don't do it - believe it or don't believe it - you will regret both.

emotional qpr....
at 22:13 24 Feb 2025

my old mum used to rib me rotten about when Rodney went to Citeh... I cried my eyes out and hid behind the curtain at home. She reminded me about it right up to her death 5 years ago...
My youngest son cried when we lost to cardiff in the play offs....
Got to admit I shed a tear of joy when we won the play off final - was also pretty emotional after the man city game where we lost but stayed up... that was a roller coaster of a game - celebrating with the citeh fans outside the ground for two completely different reasons....

Steve Cook on tonight's loss
at 07:49 12 Feb 2025

I think the major point of difference in the game was the set plays/corners - and it was the same for the millwall game.
12 against millwall and a further 8 last night... no threat from them at all.
Every time Cov took a corner last night they looked dangerous and one finally paid off through persistence.
Cookie is right to point out game management too - we went from attacking in the final few minutes to conceding a really poor corner.
Small margins and all that - but essentially the difference between top 8 or bottom half - need a big win Friday for their confidence.
