I've just bought his new book, Rather splendid london pub walks. Something to do in the summer with no football to ruin the day

My thoughts as well. If you look at his career stats, he never seems to stay in any job for more than 18 months/two years

On the plus side, we have a long afternoon/evening to drown our sorrows and forget our sins

There was one point during the second half when the camera panned on Marti for a few seconds. He had the look of a man contemplating his life choices

Saw him at the forum a few years ago at a stiff little fingers gig, but didn't wanna do the whole "can I have a photo please" thing, so just left him to enjoy his evening.

Get well soon

Looking at the fixture list, it looks as if we could be on for one of our infamous six defeats in a row run

I usually go to Louche cafe on the Askew road if I'm up to the Bush early enough. Askew cafe is also decent and more traditional, but not always open on a Saturday morning for some strange reason

There was one point in the first half yesterday where Cook seemed to be running backwards, almost Bob Malcolm style. Either he's not fully fit, or father time has caught up with him.

Would definitely like to see Morrison given a chance again

Only a wee bit further, but the Eagle and the orchard on Askew Rd are nice pubs. Eagle quite pricey, but that just seems to be the norm these days

Why do filmmakers have the music and sound affects so bloody loud, yet the dialogue you can hardly hear?

I seem to spend the entire time trying to watch a film these days with the control in my hand, with my thumb on the volume control

The worst of the co-commentators has got to be Rio Ferdinand. Very limited vocabulary, and what he does say sounds like he's auditioning for the latest Ali G film
