How many changes are we expecting for Sheffield United?
at 20:38 7 Nov 2025

I maintain that he's playing injured. Heard in the summer when they were giving it "back next week" that it was more serious than that.

Sadly we have few alternatives out there to rest him. Because, again, they've shopped in the A League for his cover...

The last post and silence
at 19:46 7 Nov 2025

I haven't been around much this week, and am obviously travelling to Sheffield tomorrow where apparently even the simple business of going for a couple of beers with my mates in a city I grew up in is going to be complicated by pub closures and police presence because the right want to march on a Holiday Inn and the left want to stop that happening.

I am begging you guys to keep this thread respectful. I think there's been a decent exchange of views here, at times borderline and I've deleted a couple of posts I thought were out of order, but a good conversation. Please keep it that way. We're all QPR.

I'll always have my poppy on. I stood through a minutes silence with my grandad, my dad and Stuart (parachute regiment, serious sht) who all made me very aware of its importance. JamesB's first post on this thread was spot on, for me. I stood at the top of the steps to F Block on Weds and was quite moved by the total silence in the ground, with the fireworks bursting overhead.

But I also agree with SL's subsequent post that the performative nonsense at football and elsewhere - who can be more respectful, mascots dressed as poppies, people screaming "where's your poppy" at James McLean etc - is just a nonsense. If you go home and away you're going through these parades three or four times every season. Port Vale did theirs on October 27 for goodness sake because it was on Sky. Both managers, both chairmen, both captains, all laying a wreath. It was like a bloody florists in the centre circle. That's not respectful or remembrance or whatever, that's performative.

The big thing I remember from Remembrance when I was younger was "never again". You don't hear that so much any more.

Please be kind to each other this weekend.

Well I'm just back from a lie down after the news that Poku's not fit after all.

Well a problem it certainly is, particularly on the occasions we play 4-4-2.

I get the theory behind it, but you have to have players capable of doing it.

We do not have the defenders or the goalkeeper to do it. Simple as that.

I think both things can be true. As I said in the first line of my post, he's being treated poorly, and should be playing more. I also agree with most of what you've said on this thread.

But it's a bit of a mess all round, and I do feel sorry for the club to a certain, limited extent.

I mean, I think Kolli shouild be getting game time, and I think he's being treated poorly.

But you've also got to feel a bit for Nourry and the club on this. I've never known so much external noise about a fcking teenager who's played a dozen games in his life.

Oxford at home last year one of the in favour Twitter accounts was doing an hour-by-hour update on whether he'd recovered from the flu in time to be in the team/on the bench etc.

You can't have that.

Southampton at home roll call....

Got the afternoon off. Quite looking forward to it. My new commute is on the Thames Clipper down to Putney and then a walk through Bishop's Park so that's bloody lovely. And it has a bar!

Won two games all season, sold £130m of talent.
West Ham spent £50m of that... bottom three.

It's a sickness. No need for parachute payments, these cnts just rinse the same sht players between them.
