What i should have said is that it depends on what division we are in, if we are still in the championship they might go with Lumley |

I am not disputing that he will probably miss the start of next season, whether we need a new keeper will depend on how quickly his injury heals |

The atmosphere was ok, I think for games like this we lose some of the floating supporters and so people are less likely to get a bit self concious when they are surrounded by those who just sit there |

I wouldnt disagree with that, Im not a great fan of McCarthy but he is an experienced keeper and the Championship isn't the Premier League, with Manning, yes I wouldnt disagree we need to go a little more defensive in that one |

I was not a big fan of Yoshida that is no secret and I would point out that if you look at the central defenders we have had in the years before Yoshida and the years after, Fonte Hooiveld Lovren Alderweireld Van Dijk Bednarek Hoedt Stephens Vestergaard Salisu Bella-Kotchap Harwood-Bellis Where would Yoshida in the list of the best centre halves, he played 135 games plus 19 as sub in 8 seasons, so was very rarely the actual first choice central defender . I would say out of the above you would probably put Hoedt behind him and possibly Stephens, other than that none of the others. Other than that he would not get in the side, even Vestergaard kept him out and for a while was ok The fact that he played for Japan in the World Cup means nothing, its like saying that Onauchu wasn't good enough for us even though he played for Nigeria in the African cup of Nations, or that Caleta Car is better than most of them because he played for Croatia in the World cup. Like most people I have my favourites and those that I am not keen on, but I can usually back it up with some stats and data etc. |

Im interested to know how you conveniently had a wet fish to hand when you heard the news, do you carry one around for such occasions, or was their luckily a fish shop nearby. Would it be acceptable to use one out of the freezer even though it had batter covering it as long as i ran it under the tap first to make it wet. |

I did not defend Everton as a football club, or for that matter Liverpool or any other team, what i do defend is the genuine fans of any club who find that through no fault of their own find their club in turmol. When Saints went into administration 15 years ago, it wasn't Saints fans fault and it isn't Everton's supporters fault now. I can't argue with you that Everton as a club have spawned it for too long, ever since Moshiri rode into town and told them what they wanted to hear rather than what he could actually deliver Yes in the past a minority of their fans have committed acts of violence, but then again so have Saints supporters from time to time including the infamous 1984 semi final riot which was started by our fans rather than Everton's although they were very willing participants. I stick up for the genuine fans who will now pay the price and possibly see their club go out of business, I and so should most on here know the feeling from 2009. |

I do agree with you this, but the main reasons are (at least in the Kingsland) 1, Those that sit in the first 7/8 rows insist on heading up to the exit behind them, rather than the ones at pitch level, thus jamming things up even more 2. There is always a steward sometimes two stood in the said exits thus blocking it further. But it isn't about getting out, right next to the exit in the final minutes there are always empty seats, these people dont need to leave early, they can be up and out within a few seconds, personally when the injury time is in the final couple of minutes i go down the aisle find an empty seat by the exit and watch from there and im straight out |
