Blackburn away
at 16:59 12 Nov 2025

I went to every away game last season and Blackburn was right down there with the worst experiences.

Having to get up there for 12.30 probably accounted for this although the performance (or lack of it) also contributed.

I am picking and choosing my away trips this season.

But I haven’t yet completely ruled this out. Idiot.

Hamer Post Match - didn't know new rule

Refreshingly honest of him to admit it, but what does this say about his and the management team’s preparation.

It seems the decision to play him was relatively late but on balance a very good one. You’re gonna expect somewhat of a bombardment from a team managed by Wilder and they had 14 (fourteen) corners! How do we think Nardi would have coped with that?

Someone said Jimmy Dunne can’t play at centre back. Disagree, thought he was good today.

Think Jimmy might have a right shiner after that.

I’ve no idea how good Hamer is (or ever has been) but one would assume that he has been good in training.

Let’s be honest Wilder would not have needed any second invitation to bombard a beleaguered Nardi, so perhaps this makes sense.

We’ll see.

Rob Edward’s ‘stood down’ as Middlesbrough manager - off to Wolves?

What is he thinking!

Overreactions to wins and losses
at 16:05 6 Nov 2025

I remember posting at the October break, when QPR and hopes were riding high - ‘Come back and see where we are at the November break’.

I also added, for good measure, that the next 6 games were eminently loseable.

We’ve lost 4 out of 5 and could easily go to 5 out of 6 on Saturday.

If anyone had said at the beginning of the season that we’d lose consecutive home games to just-relegated Ipswich and Southampton, would anyone have been surprised?

I also get why people were (and are) angry and frustrated at the recent run.

Just out of interest, do you do the 7 miles in one go or is this basically a pub crawl?

Absolutely right. Slightly the better team just before and after we equalised in the first half.

The clusterf*ck of the second goal (see Nardi thread) really killed us.

Second goal was a complete clusterf*ck. As per your first paragraph and DW above, the long ball was going nowhere - possibly straight out or an easy collection for most keepers.

Cook’s header out was weak and the push (Hayden?) was unnecessary and brainless (if a bit soft?)

From my seat in SAR, the free-kick looked unstoppable but have just seen the highlights from the other side. Oh dear, what was Nardi doing.

That goal completely did for us as we had worked well to get back in it and the better team (just) for much of the first half. Climbing that hill twice was too much for us.

Phil Ham = Great name.

Forgot Darnell had gone there. Maybe he’ll do us another favour and get sent off against us again.
