It is widely expected that this weekend's game with Charlton Athletic will be called off due to the Arctic conditions that have hit the town this week.

A pitch inspection will take place at 10am on Friday morning, but even should the pitch be in glorious nick at that time, long spells of sub zero temperatures and further snow forecast will undoubtedly see the referee err on the side of caution and postpone this game.

The game would have been Dale's first home game against the Addicks since March 1974.
