Pitch inspection planned for Saturday morning
Pitch inspection planned for Saturday morning
Friday, 3rd Dec 2010 15:07

Just two matches remain fixtured for this weekend with County's game against Northampton Town so far avoiding a call off. That situation may change tomorrow though, as the match referee is going to carry out a pitch inspection to see if the game can take place.

The Sixfields pitch is currently covered up and with temperatures expected to rise slightly and rain forecast for Saturday, the club are hopeful of getting the game on. In order to save County fans from a wasted journey, the match referee will inspect the pitch at 9:30am and make a decision on the pitch.

Only two games remain fixtured in League Two this weekend because of the wintry weather, with Oxford United's home clash with Barnet the only other match still on. That game at the Kassam Stadium is also due to take place subject to a pitch inspection on Saturday morning.

County will be keen to play the match as our last outing came on 23rd November when we lost 5-0 at home to Port Vale.
