Recovery Periods Almost Over
Recovery Periods Almost Over

The absence of Elliot Ward and Andrew Surman has presented opportunities for other players, most notably Korey Smith, Simon Lappin and Michale Nelson and Zak Whitbread.

The news that Ward and Surman will soon be available for selection makes for good reading

With 19 games left to play and Norwich one of three sides on 47 points with only goal difference edging them out of the automatic promotion places, the climax to the 2010-2011 season is hotting up much sooner than the last time Norwich City ruled the roost of the second tier in football.

So Paul Lambert will not be wanting selection headaches forced upoon him because of availability. This news must make him almost ecstatic. That and Henri Lansbury staying until the end of May.

The other benefit, of course, is that those already playing will now be looking over there shoulders every time the linesman holds the horizontal flag over his head. They will make even fewer mistakes, making it even harder for teams to beat Norwich City.

With just six days left in the transfer window, and silence echoing loudly around the corridors of Carrow Road, there is that awful possibility that there are no new signings.

Although the sudden silence from Brighton after the recent hullabaloo over Elliot Bennet could just mean that the big talk is over and now the business of player transfer is now almost complete.

Although, on that matter, eyes will keep turning to new boards to ctach any glad tidings as they become public.
