Derby Make Miles Addison A Ram Until 2013!

As reported yesterday on RamZone the Rams have moved to secure Miles Addison and announced today that another year has been added to his existing contract.

A weekend of speculation and discussion in the media regarding the 22-year old's future has ended with DCFC deciding to give Addison more time to fulfil his potential at Derby.

Mile is seen by many as a future England international with the ability to play as a centre back or holding midfielder.

A serious foot injury has seriously hampered his development over the last 18 months but now he is once again fully fit and will be hoping for a full injury free pre-season, to once again build some career momentum.

At a young age in a big frame, his best football is still ahead of him should he stay fit and on the pitch. Addison could play a big part in any future success at Derby County and grow into a permanent role with the club for years to come.

Tom Glick spoke to the official site about Miles and his new deal:

"Miles has shown great character in the last few seasons to recover from his foot injury. Prior to that he was a player recognised with great potential and had just been capped by England under 21s."

"We have extended Miles' contract because we believe as he gets his match fitness back he will again show that he can be a force in this division, and even higher."
