Saints Expect 30k On Saturday

With only a few days to go before the first South Coast Derby of the season ticket sales are brisk.

Saints are warning fans who havent already got their tickets for the vidit of Brighton to get on down to the Stadium fast as its looking like it may well head for a sell out, certainly in the ordinary seats.

They are also saying that ticket sales as of Tuesday evening, ie 4 days before the game are ahead of the similar periof prior to the visit of West Ham and that a late rush could push it towards a sell out.

In truth you didnt need to be Nostrodamus to predict that this would be a big gate, with a full contingent of away supporters last season the gate was 26,237 and if you analyse this season average then assuming Brighton sell 3,200 again then the gate would excedd last seasons just based on our average this,

So those floating supporters who only attend sporadically were bound to push the gate up towards capacity with this being the type of game that most would want to attend, indeed after Pompey and West Ham, due to it being a South Coast derby and last season's rivalry it could be said that this is the third most attractive home fixture of the season.
