The Crucial Three Friday, 6th Apr 2012 09:31 Saints stand three games and seven days from cementing their place in next seasons Premier League, perhaps given the financial rewards at stake the most crucial three games in the history of the club. By 10pm on Friday 14th April Saints will have completed a spell of three games and will either be on the brink of a return to the premiership or be looking at squeaky bum time in the final fortnight of the season. The question is can Saints cope with the pressure, are they wily enough to keep the momentum going, will next season be a Big Mac or a 99p value burger, the next week will either be an echo of our 1977/78 campaign or the teardrops will be starting to explode. What Saints need to do now is keep calm and finish what they strated back in ugust against Leeds United, we dont need to do anything other than what we have been doing for the last 8 months, it still comes back to my old chestnut, the two points per game average, do that and we are definately up unless West Ham win every game and do so by bettering our result by over two goals per game. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself, we dont want to be at home to Captain Cock Up as Blackadder once said, lets just do what we do best, if we do that then it doesnt matter what the other two do, it will be heaven up here and we will have our reward whilst at Upton Park it will be the story of the blues and thats a promise. All that matters is the game ahead for us, of course Reading & West Ham will drop a point or two, but if we concentrate on these three games and get results in all of them then we will have taken gigantic steps.
