Will Neil Warnocks teenage dream be scuppered by Derby?

Teenage midfielder Aiden White is being lined up for a shock £500,000 move to Derby County, despite Neil Warnock wanting to keep hold of him.

Various local and nation news reports earlier today suggested Nigel Clough was planning to raid Leeds for their pacey youngster, who has also been linked with Ipswich and Celtic.

White is now officially out of contract but has returned to Thorp Arch for pre-season training. Warnock today spoke of hoping to agree new terms with White, but as him and his advisors have flatly rejected the offer on the table since the end of last season, time is running out.

Whether or not Warnock will have an opportunity to offer more favourable terms remains to be seen, it is unlikely this will occur until the future of the club is sorted out.

Leeds would be due compensation for White, who operated last season on the left at either full-back or the wing.
