Wednesday, 14th Nov 2012 20:53 by Paul Mortimer

Join a unique football evening this Thursday night (15th November) when Colin Gibson, Graham Richards and other top guests talk Derby County with the fans!

Tickets - at just £5.00 - are available on the door and can also be reserved in advance - so book now!

The “RAMS, RADIO & WRITERS” football forum is an independent fans' forum, held in support of The Stroke Association and Diabetes UK.

The event will take place at The Spot Banqueting Suite in Sacheverel Street, Derby DE1 2JR on Thursday November 15th (doors at 7:00pm for 7:30pm).

Tickets are £5 each - and discount is offered for block bookings of 5, 10 tickets, etc.

You can book tickets now via email to ramsactive@btinternet.com or phone 07951 638858.

Tickets ordered will be held on the door for you on the night - so book now!

As well as featuring “Gibbo” and fans’ favourite Graham Richards, the Derby Telegraph’s senior football correspondent, Steve Nicholson will join the panel of guests, along with authors/broadcasters Gareth Davis and Phil Matthews.

Phil will host the evening, which will begin with former Radio Derby Sports Editor Colin Gibson being interviewed about his 30 years’ service at the Beeb reporting on Derby County FC.

Gareth and Phil will add spice to conclude the first half when they discuss the history of the great East Midlands’ rivalry between the Rams and Nottingham Forest, as showcased in their latest book, “Derby’s Days”.

There will be a raffle with a dozen prizes up for grabs, including a pair of tickets for Derby’s home game with their other most fierce rivals, Leeds United (Saturday, December 7th, Pride Park Stadium 1.00 pm).

Then, a ‘spot’ prize draw will also see one lucky ticket-holder win a DCFC football signed by Nigel Clough and his squad.

The second half of the evening will be an open Q & A forum with all of the guest panellists - and with a stellar line-up of local football experts, it will be a cracking night that you can’t afford to miss.

“Rams, Radio & Writers” promises to be sprinkled with insights and anecdotes from these accomplished broadcasters and journalists, who have many years’ experience between them in various roles with club and media.

There’s no doubt that the current Rams’ team and club outlook will be discussed as well!

Bar facilities will be available, and the regional fund-raising officers of the two charities will be there to promote their organisations.

There are few of us whose families have not been affected by these two illnesses - so please come along to support the event.

Full bar facilities will be available and there is ample parking adjacent to The Spot, which is close to the city centre.
