The Football Supporters’ Federation are trying to identify a police officer who struck a Leeds supporter after the game at Millwall on Sunday.

A video has been posted on YouTube which clearly shows a mounted police officer striking a Leeds fan with his stick, as our supporters were being escorted back to Surrey Quays station after the match.

The incident occurred as missiles were being thrown by the Millwall fans who had come round between the tower blocks to try to have a go at us. Admittedly there were quite a few Leeds fans in the escort who stopped at this point and began chanting and taunting the South London mob, but the fan who was hit was playing no part in that.

His only crime appears to be that he paused for a second while he was walking back with the rest of the crowd. Now the Football Supporters Association are trying to identify this officer so he can be brought to account. So if you were in the escort and managed to get this policeman’s number then let us know, and we’ll pass the information on to the FSF.

Here is the clip of the incident, and the assault occurs about 30 seconds in.
