News

The Swans will be without the services of Jason Price for the 1st round FA Cup tie with AFC Bournemouth this Saturday after Price picked up his fifth yellow card of the season against Oldham last week. Hopefully this should leave the door open for Steve Jones to fit into the right back role, stabalise the defence & have the same back 4 that won us the 3rd Div. championship last season.

Romo after his VERY disapointing performance on Saturday should be relegated to the subs bench, and should stay there until he can prove he can play a whole match, rather than a string of 1st half appearances which show such promise!

Bournemouth News

Carl Fletcher may not just miss the Swansea clash after being sent off at the weekend after swearing at the official moments after receiving the red card.

Carl had to be hauled away from the scene by club capatin and namesake Steve Fletcher before the game could continue. Carl, who already has one sending off to his name in his career so far has already received five bookings this season and has proven to be a committed player in the middle, but Saturday's defining tackle was regarded as "careless" by Sean rather than committed. Carl Fletcher and Bournemouth now have to wait from word off the FA following the incident as they may decide to take further action after reading the referee's report from the game.

However, both Carl and Sean have stated they would be "disappointed" should the ban be extended for more than just one match. As well as Carl Fletcher, the FA cup clash against Swansea will also be missed by loan players Warren Cummings and Jermaine DeFoe. Probably an expected decision by West Ham chief Harry Redknapp after the controversy surrounding Emmanuel Omoyimni in last years league cup competition after playing for West Ham in the competition despite having played for Gillingham in an earlier round. Cherries boss Sean O'Driscoll is hoping that Chukki Eribenne could be fit and in contention for a place come the 18th to replace DeFoe.

Player to watch: Steve Fletcher

Steve Fletcher is a bit like marmite, you either love him or hate him. Some people regard him as a great target man with strength to match and a bullet header. Some regard him as a slow player who can't shoot with his feet. All of these are infact true. He has so much more to offer than just scoring goals, but playing where he does, maybe there should be more goals per season. Also club captain and a great influence to the young players
