Swansea strikers future still a mystery

Home >Story Index> Sidibe Future A Mystery

Speaking to they're official website, recently appointed Barnsley manager Steve Parkin said, "I spoke to the lad, had a good chat with him but we are going to watch two or three strikers this week. We do still want to bring one in but we have to make sure it is the right one". If Parkin does renew his interest in Sidibe, he may have some stiff competition for his signature, as apparently Barnsley are not the only club showing an interest in the Swansea frontman. Middlesborough had Sidibe watched at Mansfield on Saturday and there has been interest from premiership strugglers Leicester City as well as QPR and Stockport. Losing Sidibe would be a big blow to the Swan's and manager Colin Addison has reportedly already exchanged strong words with chairman Tony Petty over the proposed transfer. So Big Mama's future is still unclear, but what is clear, is that with the FA cup 2nd round clash at Macclesfield only 4 days away, this sort of transfer speculation isn't the best preparation for both the team and the management.
