Swans Look To Silence The Jeers

Swansea v Swindon - Match Preview

Saturday's 0-0 draw can now be condemmed to the memory banks - although it is fair to say it was totally forgettable - and concentration can be focused on getting this game won with two tough away league encounters to follow.

Swindon arrive on the back of last year's promotion in a play off position although that would change immediately with a Swans victory tonight. After being a disjointed side with their relegation of two seasons ago, Swindon appear to have built well on that and on the face of things are a much stronger side now both in terms of on and off the pitch it seems.

The Swans are not firing on all cylinders and should not under estimate their opposition but, that aside, it will be a game that they have highlighted as one that they want to win in the quest to kick start a run of form that could see them move steadily up the table.

I do believe that with the negative vibes coming from the stands at the moment it could be vital that the Swans get the early goal to lift the crowd because it seems that patience is not available in an everlasting supply at the moment which creates an overall negative atmosphere. It remains vital that the crowd does play it's part as twelfth man although it is evident that there is some mileage to go in creating the atmosphere and situation that we all crave.

Team wise will Roberto make any changes to the side that started on Saturday? I would hazard a guess at no although Paul Anderson would be the only likely change that I could see barring any last minute injuries. However, I do see the same line up taking the pitch giving us

Doris

Rangel Monk Lawrence Painter

Butler Bodde Pratley Orlandi

Scotland Feeney

Swindon striker Billy Paynter should overcome a slight groin strain to retain his place in the starting XI.

That means Hasney Aljofree, Brian Corr, Ady Williams and Andy Nicholas remain the only absentees for the visitors.

A lower crowd than Saturday is expected at the Liberty for the last home game for almost three weeks league wise - although Wycombe visit in the paint pot trophy next Tuesday.

It is far too early in the season to talk about must win games but this is getting closer to it. Defeat will in no way, shape or form end the season but a win is one of those that can kick start a run of form and with games coming up that are winnable games, let's hope that October proves to me more productive than September was in terms of points won.
