Former Player Says Give Scotland Time

Writing in his column in the Evening Post, James said "I think recent criticism of Jason Scotland is a little bit unfair.

"He started off like a house on fire and has had a little dip in form since, but that always happens, especially with goalscorers.

"He's not going to be a world beater every week - if he was he#'d be playing at Manchester United or Arsenal or somewhere like that. That's no disrespect to the division Swansea are in, but world beaters don't play there.

"All players go through a bad run and while some thing Scotland should be left out I think if you want to get his confidence back you need to keep him in and he'll get back to scoring goals very quickly."

However, James also expresses his surprise that there wasn't a start last week for Guillem Bauza stating "He was in form after netting four goals in three games, but we're only looking at it from the outside, while the manager sees these players every day in training

"I saw Bauza at the start of the season and it looked like he wanted to go back to Spain, but he seems to have settled down and is enjoying himself at the club now."
