Wotte For Fratton Thursday, 3rd Dec 2009 10:33 Mark Wotte is tipped to return to football just up the M27 Mark Wotte could be heading back to an English football club, he is tipped to take over the youth set up at Portsmouth, the job that Paul Hart was originally in and turned down a return to after being sacked as first team boss. Wotte of course was performing this role at St Mary's before having to take over from Jan Poortvliet, Wotte was prepared to take on his old role at SMS, however the new regime wanted a clean break and eventually appointed Jason Dodd. Wotte will of course be associated with Rupert Lowe by Saints fans, but it shouldnt be forgotten that Wotte stayed at the helm through the summer as the troubles went on seemingly without an end and had to run a squad through pre season training and games not knowing what was round the corner, Saints fans should be grateful for this, perhaps Pompey's gain might be Saints loss as undoubtably Wotte had great contacts in the game and the experience in the job at Feyenoord etc, its a pity we couldnt have used that ourselves.
