All you need to know about going to Griffin Park

Saints have played at Griffin Park in the recent past, unlike some of our other away trips this season, the last being five years ago when we won an FA Cup replay.

The ground is compact and in the shadow of the M4 motorway with the added bonus of being on the Heathrow flightpath, the airport being only a few miles to the west, the ground has changed slightly since our last visit in that the open away terrace that was the away end, is now covered and given to the home support, Saints now being accomodated at the other end in the Brook Road Stand, older fans may remember a League Cup tie in the late 90's when we had this end, it consists of two tiers, the top tier is seated and we have already sold the full allocation of 600 seats and below is approx 1000 places on a small covered terrace which as well as its low buildmeaning the view isnt great also has some well placed pillars to further obstruct the view.

Getting There

By train Brentford station is on the Waterloo to Reading line so its fairly easy to access if you are going up by rail, alternatively you may be able to alight at Clapham Junction and pick up the train there.

By car its fairly easy as well, you can either take the M3, turn left onto the M25 and follow signs to the M4 and Heathrow, pass the airport and leave the motorway at junction 2, coming back round on yourself at the Chiswick Roundabout and the ground is around 1/2 mile on the A4.

Perhaps a quicker route though would be to continue on the M3 and at its end head straight on, around 1/2 mile after the Twickenham Rugby ground turn left on to the A310 signposted Isleworth, at the end of this road turn right and the ground will be about 1/2 mile on the left.

Parking

There are few car parks around the ground so its street parking, however with fairly low crowds, the average being 6,207, it shouldnt be too much problem, however as always look out for the restrictions.

Drinking Etc

Brentford famously has four pubs, one on each corner of the ground, the New Inn is the pub of choice for away supporters, although many visiting fans opt to do all four, there are also other pubs in the vicinity including the nearby Brentford high street.
