Refwatch: Millwall v Dale
Thursday, 25th Jan 2018 20:42 by TVOS

West Yorkshire referee Andy Madley will be the man-in-the-middle for Dale’s FA Cup fourth round tie at Millwall on Saturday.

Mr Madley is in his seventh season on the league list and this term he has again been a member of the Select Group 2 referees who mainly operate in the Championship.

Indeed, he has overseen 23 Championship fixtures this term, including Millwall’s home games against Reading and Sheffield United.

Andy has also refereed Derby v Nottingham Forest, Birmingham v Aston Villa and Barnsley v Leeds since August, showing he is regularly entrusted with the more high-profile matches.

This will be Andy’s 12th Dale game since he joined the list in 2011, with his most recent being our 1-0 Carabao Cup win at Mansfield in August.

The full list of Mr Madley’s Dale matches as a referee is:

Dec 11 Walsall (a) D 0-0

Apr 12 Exeter (h) W 3-2

Feb 13 Accrington (h) L 0-3

Feb 14 Dagenham (h) L 0-1

Formerly a PE teacher from Ossett, Andy is the brother of Premier League and FIFA referee Bobby Madley.

In total this season, he has refereed 29 games, showing 84 yellow cards and one red.
