An ugly win, but not underserved. We were the better team, but the fluency and penetration seen against Bristol C were not in much evidence, as Wycombe played with conviction and determination, at least in midfield. The Chairboys were a strange mix- not strong at the back and poor upfront, but their midfield managed to control the game for longish periods. The sort of game that before Christmas we'd have thrown away, but now we're sterner stuff.
