Yup, this is a serious post, so dont laugh at the back.
As a team that wears the hoops, to have an away strip that looks so gash we look like a bad 70's disco group. What about these bloody shirts scream 'this team means business'?
Why the hell havnt we brought back Dennis the Menace shirts, they are easier to pick out than the poxy 'gold' of today, surely?
Was always told..... and i think it was correct, that red and black is more intimidating than a 1 colour shirt.
As a hobby, i travel round the country, visiting, and photographing (both externally and where possible, internally) old cinema buildings.
So far i have visited and photographed 1452 of these wonderful buildings (am on facebook as "old cinema buildings (UK & ROI)" i have travelled from lands end to Inverness, and Dover to Holyhead.....
Anyway, the question is 'what was the first 'proper' old school type cinema you saw a film in?
Mine? Palace Cinema, High Wycombe for 'Thunderbirds are go!'
I cannot believe in my lifetime, we've gone from 1 substitute to 9 (9 were available to play today)
WTF, i've seen a QPR goalkeeper play outfield, and i've seen many a player, play in goal.
But this crap about this amount of players coming into a game late on, shouldnt , in my opinion, be allowed as it disrupts a teams flow, and wastes time , even if it's just 30 seconds
We should go back to simpler times of 2 or 3 subs full stop.
The other half is thinking of us moving, and has come across a nice semi detatched 3 bedroom, which is described as 'non standard construction'. This to me means 'pre fab' or concrete.
Having a look at the house last night, and you can see the outline of vertical panels about 2-3 foot wide and 5-6 foot tall. There is a visible render line slightly raised from each panel join that gives the game away more so.
Anyone have any experience on these, or know of problems etc (i already know i will need a full structural survey, of the building).
Just so a friend of mine doesnt just fall through the gaps of recognition.
Frank E.Torpey, went to sleep Saturday evening with his family present.
Frank was an 'aquantance' on Facebook, but we never met, merely chatted, but got on well.
One of Frank's best memories was watching Buddy Holly on stage at the Kilburn Empire. And something from that gig stuck with Frank, for he decided music was his future.
Frank became the co-founder of 'The Sweet'!
R.I.P. mate , the last original member passes to that great gig in the sky.
Hi everybody, am after some asvice from the 'sages' that are out here please?
Sat in front of the telly last night, having a lovely sweet & sour when there was a roaring like a large firework being let off outside.
Indeed, so loud was it we both ran to either door to chase off the culprits, only to find no one there.
Confused by the sound we started a search only to find that the shower / bath screen had shattered and deposited 90% of the glass into the bath, damaging the thick polycarbonate bath.
So today, we contacted the insurance and was told that the bath was covered under the house home and contents insurance but the shower screen would need a report by an expert to ascertain what went wrong with the screen! 🤬😖😤
They will replace the bath but not the screen until we have had a report on it. Well good luck with that, the tempered glass shattered into thousands of pieces, soi'm not sure if someone can figure out what caused it, as we were eating tea at the time.
So meanwhile, the insurance say nope, not touching it until you have a report, and we dont want to use the bath as the chip, gouge and scrape onto the polycarbonate might weaken the bath if either of us decided to have one.
