 | Your Report | Southampton v Bolton Wanderers Your Report added by KriSaint at 01:11:34 Nice clean sheet - third in a row but we couldn't take our chances. 3 of them HUGE chances, which was obviously disappointing. We put an effort in , though. That said, how about that ridiculous amount of offside decisions by that lines man. WOW. We could have lost the game because of some pretty poor self inflicted ball losses in dangerous areas in the second half. I thought Peretz had one world class safe after one of those ball losses, half sitting, half lying down on the goal line , stretching his right arm out to block a pretty close range shot with his right hand reflex safe. Formidable. Before Tonda we would probably have lost this game. He is doing something special with our team. I can just "sense" it. Very promising young manager. Offer him a good long contract. AZAP. Sh*tty that Larin had an injury and was forced off. Hope it's only a knock and that both him and Downes are travelling to London next saturday as match day squad members. COYS! <3 <3 <3 |
 | Your Report | Southampton v Bolton Wanderers Your Report added by Cjay80 at 23:01:46 Talking point is the most blatant penalty never given, but Brie also missed an open goal, and Dobbin should have scored when 1on1. That said, if you'd have asked 8 days ago would you take 7 points from 3 games I'd have said yes. Just annoyed because it should have been another 3 today. |
 | Your Report | Southampton v Bolton Wanderers Your Report added by Bowlercow at 18:50:12 We are becoming obsessed with clean sheets That only means you will not lose I preferred it when we were winning 3,4 or 5 1 Enough clear cut chances to have won this comfortably Thirty thousand people saw a clear hand ball. Two people didn't see it. |
 | Your Report | Queens Park Rangers v Derby County Your Report added by francisbowles at 19:52:55 Good performance, the early breakthrough made Derby come out to play. They worked hard but our defence was resolute. Really sad for Amadou, I've marked him 10 as a show of unity. Really annoying to lose the clean sheet so late in added on time, unfortunate as we were down to ten men. Hope Ronnie and Smyth are ok for Saturday. Ronnie seemed to stretch his hamstring and Paul was battered again. Subs had a better impact than Friday. Julian would get a 9. |
 | Your Report | Norwich City v Southampton Your Report added by KriSaint at 00:25:14 Good performance with a worryingly changed starting 11, but those who were rested probably needed it, and those coming in did well. Another clean sheet, not least due to Dobbin with his goal line body clearance; he played well and showed that he is a good signing. Just wait and see. A sh*tty thing that Downes went over on his left angle. Not so wise that he tried to continue I thought but credit to him for his warrior big heart.. Jander came on and played very well plus got an assist. Peretz, Slott'berg and Stevo were my men of the match together with Dobbin and Jander. I think we are starting to look like a team that is just about to become continuously very well oiled. COYS! |
 | Your Report | Norwich City v Southampton Your Report added by TimSaint at 23:08:38 Hard fought win Too many changes but worked out ok in the end Good that a few got a rest, but at what cost ? Hope Downes is fit for the weekend and Jander didn't over-do it. Should have killed the game off |
 | Your Report | Norwich City v Southampton Your Report added by Bowlercow at 22:56:58 Most would have been worried when we saw the starting elevenbut it worked We were not particularly dynamic more business like Norwich worked hard themselves but really lack quality in the final third I suspect they will think they deserved a point and I wouldn't disagree with them We saw why we brought Dobbin and Abbot into the club and both will improve with more minutes |
 | Your Report | Southampton v Portsmouth Your Report added by KriSaint at 02:15:20 An ok derby I thought. I feel sorry for young Cameron Bragg, who got the nod in the starting 11 and played very, very well, but two bad first touches and the pace of the match got him send off. Luckily without it being costly. Many competing for the motM vs Pompey. Downs for me. Azaz my second. 6 assists and three goals in 9 games is classy. I believe we have a solid core of very good players at this level and a very good manager (most points made at home in any of the 4 best divisions in England since he took over in early November 2025. 53 points after the Pompey match) , and after that dragging spygate thing is finally behind us, I am very optimistic for the future for my beloved Saints. A note for all the players wanting to play for Tonda Eckert and a special note for Dragan Solac for believing Tonda deserved to stay with us. Not many of us monday coaches agreed with him. If any. At least not in the beginning. GET IN THERE. ONWARDS AND UPWARDS. COYS! |
 | Your Report | Southampton v Portsmouth Your Report added by Bowlercow at 15:54:26 As in all the derby games I've seen it was not a classic game Cams dismissal meant that we had to play in a horrible way for the second half Althoigh we did have a couple of half chances it was all about hanging on to a one goal lead The ref had a couple of chances to make it 10 v 10 but barely gave us a deserved free kick Weird circumstances to get our first clean sheet but hopefully more to come |
 | Your Report | Southampton v Portsmouth Your Report added by davidargyll at 15:28:42 Saints so much the better team; that said their numbers 17 and 25 were quite tasty. And as for fouling, don't get me started… I was initially pretty pee’ed off but then I thought, many other players have done it, eg Flynn, Captain Jack, Wellington, so I guess we just have to tke the rough with the smooth. And I am sure he will learn, especially as the first yellow was the result of a rubbish throw-in by Manning and it might have saved a potentially nasty situation. What is more concerning though is that I just hope playing against 10 men for half the game hasn’t knackered us for Tuesday game vs Norwich where we got beaten twice last season… |
 | Your Report | Swansea City v Norwich City Your Report added by ncswan at 18:07:35 Overall, most of the team played inconsistently and the team looked disjointed for most of the first half. Being down 0-1 at halftime, the start of the 2nd half showed more determination and better play from the Swans. The Swan's first goal's buildup was more beautifully-played than the goal itself! Brilliant team passing up the left side in small, tight spaces eventually led to a nice, accurate Tymon cross to Yeo waiting to receive 3 yds in front of the goal. Widell's assist for Idah's 2nd goal got the Swede off the hook for his poorly played 1st-half possession on the sideline in the Swans side of the field, which directly led to the Canaries only goal of the game. Idah was one of the Swans who didn't play that well, especially misplaying a beautiful pass to him from Yeo. Like Widell, his goal got him off the hook for not scoring in the first half. Yeo, in my opinion was the man of the match for the Swans, not only for his goal but for his all-round play, especially his constant pressure on Norwich's attempts to clear the ball from their end of the field. On one occasion, his pressure led to him stealing the ball, which then led to a beautifully-played pass to Idah who for some reason couldn't convert it into the first goal of the game. |
 | Your Report | West Ham United v Queens Park Rangers Your Report added by Geoff78 at 17:47:22 Lamptey and Kemper are very different players so I can understand why the sub was made but Lamptey had barely got on the pitch when WHU scored down his side. I did think there was an earlier foul on Vale, but as our pen wasn't we can't complain. I thought Kamara was excellent. Although we bossed the game for 60 minutes we didn't create enough good chances. Still a result I'd have happily settled for before the game. |
