I'm all for it. Modern football is all a bit farcical anyway. Could make our seasons a bit more interesting, that's all I'm bothered about.

Ah, what a great night! I can finally put my Malcolm Butler nightmares to bed.

Winning a championship with a terrorising defense is the fkin best!

I hope you're right Mart. Watching Mike Mcdonald develop that defense in just two seasons has been magical.

Really hope Emmanwori's ankle has genuinely cleared up as he is such an important part of the scheme, particularly with dealing with the Patriots RB's and TE's on pass plays.

We owe them for eleven years ago. Nervous as Fu*k.
Go Hawks.

Agree with all of that Nix. He just seems a bit lacklustre, same when we have the ball, his movements are not particularly dynamic or threatening. Subdued.

On top of that his technical level has really dropped. I was watching him closely yesterday, and whilst he may well not be playing in his best position, you still expect the basics of a good first touch and decent decision making (not dribbling down dead ends/straight into touch). He loses the ball a lot at the moment and not because he's trying something risky to open up the defence, just when doing the basics.

Whilst I wasn't desperate to resign him, after his second debut I thought 'fair enough' but since then...

Some seem to give him pass because he's not called Dembele, and I'm not saying he can't come good, but recently he's been pretty woeful.

I really hope you're right Clareman.

Obviously the Bears are a good team but I guess all the years of Mcvay dominating us still scares me more. Both got great Offenses but the Bears D is weaker. I'd rather play them.

Too right brother. Watching us smash those ever arrogant Fortywhiners was an absolute joy to be treasured. I still fear the Rams but no doubt we have a real shot at it all.

Certainly take the point.

But how we get better with the ball needs some serious work.

Should give props to how well we defended the box. Made for Dunne and Cook that game.

Kolli really struggling to make himself available for the out ball from deep. Not moving into space for a pass to feet or positioned to get in behind.

Still hoping we get one good chance fall to him or Kone.

Sorba Thomas wandering around whacking who he wants remaining cardless rather backs up your view.

I think being wound up is what they do.

Remember this is a crowd that got wound up by Aaron Ramsey having the temerity to have his leg broken by Ryan 'not that kind of player' Shawcross. Booed him the rest of his career!

No, definitely what we used to call a C*nts Tackle back when I was playing. He knew exactly what he was doing with that ridiculously OTT follow through.

Well, 0-0 is a right touch but bar West Ham all our recent away performances have been really poor. They just don't look like footballers. Touch, movement, cohesion, getting around the pitch, patterns of play, quality of any sort - all missing.

Not knocking or blaming them specifically but Madsen and Hayden (like Varane before him) just lack the energy and legs required to give their midfielders any real problems. Their white haired fella, Rigo, is tearing about all over the place doing what he pleases.

Need a very different 2nd half.

January transfer rumours

Decision making aside, I think the Mbengue thing is the inconsistency caused by his balance.

His speed, strength and even agility (to some extent) are much better than his balance. It's why he sometimes has the Bambi on Ice look. Like a Ferrari with Skoda steering!

It can affect the consistency of his clearances (mishits, shanks a few) because his standing leg could be put down anywhere, creating issues for his swinging leg. Especially when he's just had to charge over to get there.

Same with his passes, he has the ability but consistency is tricky with the unbalanced footwork.

Same thing applies to the inconsistency of his crosses, we (and he!) never know if it's going to be an Alexander Arnold whipped undefendable or take someone's head off in Row P. The variations are extreme. He has the tools to do the former but again his balance means his standing leg can get planted anywhere creating wild variations for his swinging leg to do.

Dribbling too, think of some of his great storms down the wing, when out of the blue the 4th or 5th touch is Quite A Nice Penalty (© Clive) and we're all looking through our fingers praying he doesn't fly in over the top to 'recover' the situation! His balance not being able to maintain itself with all that speed and agility.

I love him, just be clear, his pace, engine, determined defending, self belief and permanent 'giving a f*ck' are brilliant. Young and still learning the league.

He's great fun and I love the fact he's the polar opposite of the steady 7/10 Championship left back.

Esquerdinha and his usage

I could be making this up but I also have a memory of him coming up against Alexis Sanchez versus Arsenal and getting, unsurprisingly, a proper roasting. Tough times.

Esquadinha definitely has potential. The being thrown into random line ups with various back 4's on odd occasions against some of the leagues better teams is not helping.
