Refwatch - Rochdale v Truro City

Southend next up.

We know what they will do, we’ve seen what they did to us in the playoffs, in the rain game, as they did against York.

They will come out of the blocks, press as a team, hustle as a team, put us under pressure.

Gilmour/East beware, a ball into your feet from Whatmuff will have someone all over your back every time. Every time.

Big Jim has got so much right this season learning from the past its remarkable and massive credit to him and management team for that.

I hope he preps the lads for Southend with lessons from the past too.

Wonder if Truro will be travelling on the day.

Long way of course for them and their fans to sit in a 3’200 seater stand.

They are notably stronger at home than away but no chickens counted on any of the remaining 22 games.

Crawley no footwork and naff all
Brook out stumped by a mile

It’s remarkably unremarkable.

Anybody with Morecambe left to play should be more afraid than playing the top six, as their squad is better than Dale’s according to Solihull manager.

U block will have a job to do. Lots of tough opposition to play, will no doubt be times when the team need picking up (not oppo fans insulted) in games.

Noise at away games has been awesome and you can see the appreciation from the players.

Keep it up youngsters!

Solihull had one header that i remember and that was about it.

They obviously opted for the ‘defend’ button pre-match and first half was played pretty much in their half despite us playing into the wind.

They had a bit of play early in second half as our passes seemed to go 90 yards down wind. Subs changed that and we began to dominate again.

Hendo, East, Bilongo all going close before the most beautiful shot into the far corner you could ever wish to see. Pritch did look up before he shot, only it was a second or so earlier when he will have clocked where the keeper was.

Solihull didn’t get the Southend memo that says ‘if your best strength is attack, then attack’

I suspect one or two may head into home stands if not all ticket with proof of address.

And I don’t blame them, unless done to look for trouble of course.

Sets a precedent for game 46 too.

I know nothing.

But BJ may be keeping schtum so opposition managers do not know. Whatmuff wasn’t announced as returning for example.

Count Duku has matched Devante Rodney naming.

Great Shot: Get in there, Rodney
Poor shot: Oh Dave.

Great Shot: Get in there, Dooku
Poor shot: Oh Duckula (sic)

As a Count, Duku is obviously related to Count von Count from Sesame Street, who "loves to count" therefore every goal he scores should be greeted with "one goal, mwahahaha, two goals mwhahahaha" etc

Solihull are scoring goals for fun - 20 in their last 5 games.

They also seem to have a fair few red cards in games of late (6 in last 12 games for/against)

I’m expecting a very very tough game Weds.

Southend should have gone 2 up.

Was very open game until about 75 minutes when Southend ran out of steam and York camped in their half.

Southend fast starters as we have seen before.
York fast finishers as this season has shown numerous times.

0-1 could easily become 2-1 in the blink of an eye.
