'We need to feel the support tomorrow'
at 08:37 24 Jan 2026

You're always banging on about how much of a "fanatic" you are, and how that fanaticism is irrational (therefore exempting you from displays of "reason", "balance" and "logic").

Surely, then, the question of whether or not the team "deserve" your support is completely irrelevant, isn't it?

Hmmm - let's just say I shall agree to disagree with much of what you have written.

One thing I will however agree with you on - you are the only poster I tend to not respond to in a balanced way, often deliberately to make the point about how I feel about what you have often written (or more specifically how you have chosen to write it).

I am very tempted to bite on your point about picking up the hypocrisy of others, but given the fact that you have been unusually conciliatory in your final summary, I shan't on this occasion.

Because, as I have said directly to you on multiple occasions and will keep repeating until the message finally sinks in, you are the ONLY poster on here who consistently refuses to give balance and nuance to what you write, and vehemently throws their weight behind a jaundiced viewpoint that you push aggressively to the point of openly demeaning anyone who dares to contradict what you have to say.

Clive is a brilliant example of exactly what you DON'T do. Yes, he may have bitched and moaned, but he was very clear in saying that he gets that this isn't 1976 anymore, and there may be some unpalatable truths about who we are as a club and how that impacts everyday decisions that we just have to suck up and get on with.

Clive engages with everyone on an equal footing, and takes time to give context to what he writes. You on the other hand seem to believe that you saying what you say in the often obnoxious tone you choose to employ should be good enough for everyone to take as gospel and get mortally offended when some of us on here tell you exactly what we think of your mistaken assumptions.

Bitching and moaning about it is somewhat pointless, don't you think?

Despite the fact you're blinded by your stated hatred for the guy, I hate to break it to you that M. Stephan is eminently more qualified to make decisions on what the best way to go is currently than you are.

I struggle to understand why we're even contemplating letting him go! We should be fighting tooth and nail to keep him with us - players like him are like gold dust; committed to the cause, never gives less than 100%, never bitches and moans about not being an automatic first choice pick, which he'd be more than entitled to do giving how many times he's singlehandedly rescued the team over the years.

As Clive has said on more than one occasion, you let players like that go at your peril.

Indeed there is, my fine friend...

Unfortunately, you crossed it quite a while ago..

(Sorry, but I'm not in the habit of missing open goals...)

True, but I still feel he should "feel the burn", rather than everyone just take the easy option.

What a load of absolute overexaggerated garbage!

Last time I looked, you don't get awarded points for "artistic merit" in this or any other league.

The manager came up with a game plan that made most sense, given the limited resources he had available, and if we'd done better with the few attacking chances we had, we might well have burgled a win.

Doesn't sound much like a reason to go "nuclear" on the club to me. Far better that we smuggled a point than lost all three - its really as simple as that.

Have you ever thought about relocating to Barcelona? I suspect you'd be far happier and the rest of us could live in peace.

Nardi Hamer what’s that all about?
at 17:49 7 Jan 2026

"At his age"😂

Another brilliant example of some of the absolute shite that professional footballers get away with, compared to the rest of us mere mortals..

I'd love to have had Paul Nardi here in our office yesterday to watch my new 67 year old colleague trying to come to terms for the first time with how Bluetooth headphones work (an essential piece of our everyday kit for a number of reasons).

Poor Chris was very well aware that he was making an absolute tit of himself, as he continually asked why the headphones kept falling off (basically because he kept trying to hook them underneath his ears rather than on top). This and other related IT issues made him have the look of someone who's just been woken up from a deep cryogenically induced sleep for 30 years with absolutely no idea how the world's evolved in the meantime.

Despite this and the inevitable stream of friendly p*ss-taking that kept coming his way, he persevered and managed to look pretty professional on his first Microsoft Teams call this morning.

Given he hadn't even heard of Teams until yesterday, that's not a bad bit of progress - and yet a 31 year old professional goalkeeper can't be coached into assertively coming for crosses in a sport he's probably been playing ever since he can walk...?!

Not sure where you get the idea from that he doesn't tell it like it is.
Surely the fact that he's working hard to ensure that the players' feet stay firmly on the ground after an emphatic win against a side that was a Premier League team just last season would be a message that would chime with your own obsession with perfection?
Surely even you would have to reluctantly admit that this side is improving in mindset, consistency and fluency right across the pitch?
Presumably, you would also have to be an admirer of him going back to watch the away game against Portsmouth last season to pick up everything useful he can?
And no, I personally don't believe that every mnager in this league would do the same thing.

If he's genuinely struggling, surely he should be mature enough to go the mamager and have that conversation. Together, they could then work out an active support programme that would, ironically, probably include a spell away from the first team whilst he deals with his grief.

Sorry, but like the majority on this thread, I don't buy in to this cult of indulging this player, who is clearly having a two year old's temper tantrum and should be treated as such until he is grown up enough to apologise to the manager and his teammates.

If a whole bunch of people who don't regularly see each outside the confines of this forum are telling you the same thing, I would respectfully suggest you might be well advised to take some time to consider why they've all independently reached the same conclusion.

Consider it "friendly re-education" - all delivered completely free of charge as well..

This from the author of a thread (link attached again below) moaning about why his club can't be more consistent:

Consistency by stainrods_elbow 29 Sep 2025 12:29
QPR teams of the past (1982-83; 1993-95; 2010-11) have had it and been successful. Why don't we, and why is it so apparently hard to achieve?

Presumably the conclusion we should draw from your logic is that the players and staff aren't actually human, and therefore should be held far more accountable for their actions than poor misunderstood you should be?
