He was referring to his appearance as well. Just seemed a strange and unnecessary thing to be saying in my opinion. I never said what he said was wrong, it's subjective. I just personally felt it was just a bit irrelavent and didn't come across well... in my opinion. Also find it's generally quite a negative podcast. But that could just be how they come across generally in real life?! I don't know. Thankfully James lifts the mood a bit when he's on there. I'll still watch it and am interested in what they say - I don't agree with much of it. Comes across as glass half empty a lot of the time I feel. But that's the same for all of us on here anyway right? Different opinions. Some positive, some less so. [Post edited 23 Jan 16:24]

Has anyone seen last weeks podcast? I personally found some of Dave's comments a bit odd when talking about Kone and Burrell. Also felt a bit cringe the way he talked about Kolli. |

I actually think he's deceptively quick/mobile. And fiercely competitve. Also looks physical enough to me. Works hard, tracks back. Has any player had more minutes than Madsen this season? Apart from maybe Dunne? So there's nothing wrong with his fitness levels. [Post edited 21 Jan 17:35]

DIsagree with this. He's one of the few players that can pass a ball out of a tight spot under pressure. He rarely holds or dithers on the ball. He gets it and moves it on quickly. Quality player. |

I don't want him "doing" me thanks very much! |

I bet you've been waiting to hi-light these moments rather than hi-light his overall contribution to the team yesterday! For the most part he was absolutely immense. |

"Back in the 90's when the people at the company I worked for liked to partake in the stuff, it mostly turned them into the worlds worst game show host." [Post edited 12 Jan 16:10]

Did he manage to fit through? I'm pretty much the same size so I have the same said to me these days! |

Yeah I listened to the same commentory. Was very good from both commentators. Very fair and balanced. And yes, just as knowledgable about QPR as they were West Ham. |

Also don't forget that we were missing JCS, Varane, Chair, Burrell, Poku, Morrison and Vale. (would love to have seen Chair and Burrell out there yesterday!) A lot of those players would be starters, and we didn't even have them available on the bench to bring on!! Didn't they bring on a new signing worth about £30m or something?! Can't fault the effort of those that played yesterday. In another season we'd have got a replay or gone straight to pens. To have extra time in the very first game gives a massive advantage to the home team (or a team with strength in depth) to win. We were up against it on several fronts yesterday, and the lads gave it everything. |
 | Forum Reply | 35 points after 23 games, what’s the realistic target after 46? at 16:21 29 Dec 2025
"….. if the first half of the season’s games are for the team to gel with new coach, new tactics, new way of playing, then it is reasonable to expect the team to do better in the next 23 games" Isn't that the same for most other teams though? "So 70 or more points is a logical target 60-70 points - the team is settled and consistent* 50-60 is underwhelming borders on worrying" What if we get 60pts? All those saying about injuries seem to forget that it's that same for all teams so it evens itself it. Also, our inury record this year so far does appear to be better this season than last (the return of Ben WIlliams? Coincidence?). Lastly, those worrying about injuries/suspensions etc... we've got the best squad depth for years! We'llcope. Glass half full chaps! |

The only player that's playing consistantly well enough in a "similarish" position so far this season is Madsen. Of the "wingers", best player probably Smyth. So Chair gets in the first 11 on experience/consistancy and is also probably the hardest working player (in both directions) that we have. |

Didn't Sints go in late on Parker when Man U played at ours shortly after he moved? Or is my memory playing tricks on me? Hope I'm wrong, but I know Sints didn't shirk any tackles back in the day. |
