Hyam Set for Colchester Thursday, 15th Dec 2011 07:50 by TWTD.co.uk Midfielder Luke Hyam is understood to be a January transfer window target of Colchester United. The 20-year-old has made only one appearance for Town this season and that came in the Carling Cup defeat to Northampton. Former Academy scholar Hyam broke into the Blues first team last season under Roy Keane, and has made 12 senior starts and two sub appearances without scoring, but has failed to make an impact under Paul Jewell. Hyam’s one-year contract with Town is up at the end of the season. Fellow midfielder Jamie Griffiths is already training with the U’s with a view to joining them when his contract is up at the end of the month.
