Paul Lambert will be without centre half Leon Barnett for the remainder of the season, it is reported, after Barnett pulled up with an obvious hamstring injury in the Reading game a week ago.
With Jens Berthel Askou still out on loan at Milwall and Michael Nelson now plying his trade at Scunthorpe, Lambert is pressed for options to gill the centre half right spot with both Ward and Whitbread preferring the left.
With the dangers posed by Gradel and Becchio on the left at Carrow Road, and with a mistake on the left that allowed Reading to equalise last week, perhaps Lambert will try Ward on the right with Whitbread in his usual left position.
News that Matthew Gill will return from Walsall is unlikely to have any beariong, but Lambert's ability to get players performimg so well, Lambert could put Anthony McNamee in central defence and probably have a new star shining.
Leeds will be without right back Paul Connolly and centre half Patrick Nisboro. Aston Villa loan player Lichaj impressed at Ashton Gate so is likely to take Connolly's place.
Having played Becchio as the lone striker against Bristol City, Grayson is considering placing Davide Somma alongside as Grayson vows to take the game to City.
An earlier win at Coventry was down to a two-man strike force, but Somma was dropped to the bench at Ashton Gate after midweek international duty.
Grayson told the Yorkshire Evening Post:: "Both combinations have worked well.
"We got a clean sheet and a victory against Coventry at home and a clean sheet and a victory at Bristol City last weekend. It’s great to be able to chop and change the system to adapt to the team we’re playing against.
"When you’re playing against a passing team like Norwich, you need to get on top of them before they get into their stride. That’s what we’ll be looking to do."
With Leon Barnett on sick leave a point at Elland Road will be a good result, even if it does result in a drop to fifth place in the table, still two points ahead of Leeds.
