Shaun of the Pres
Former Dale midfielder Shaun Reid takes the first steps following the path taken by his brother with his first managerial post.
Reid was a mainstay of many a Dale side in the 80's and 90's, chalking up close to 250 appearances for the club, but whilst his brother Peter has had many a managerial position since retiring, Shaun's post-playing career has been limited to coaching positions and a spell acting as agent to Kevin Townson.
He has had spells on the coaching staff at Swindon Town and more recently Plymouth Argyle, but he left the Pilgrims earlier this season following the dismissal of his brother.
In taking over at Prescot Cables, he becomes manager of an Evo-Stik First Division team, competing against the likes of Radcliffe Borough and Salford City.
