£100,000 bid for Alfie rejected
It is being reported in the media that we have turned down a bid worth £100,000 for Adam Le Fondre.
The news has been reported on Sky Sports News than an unnamed club has put a bid in for our leading scorer from the last two seasons, but it has been rejected by Dale.
The lack of club mentioned suggests that the story has probably been released by Le Fondre's agent, but messageboard suggestions have indicated the possibility that the team in question could be Swindon Town.
Le Fondre is out of contract at the end of the season, and any deal for Alfie to leave the club would involve a pay out to Stockport who inserted a sell on clause when he left to join Dale.
