Dale boss John Coleman will take his new squad to his old stomping ground in July as Dale take on Accrington Stanley in a testimonial match for their former gaffer.
In what is a rather unusual friendly, Dale will take on League Two rivals Accrington Stanley in a game on Saturday 14th July in a game that has long been promised to Coleman. Admission for this game has been reduced to £10 for adults and £5 for kids.
Another friendly has also been announced, with Dale travelling to Radcliffe Boro on Wednesday 11th July. Dale have played the Evo Stik NPL Premier Division side a few times in pre-season over the years, and the relationship between the two sides grew stronger following our purchase of Craig Dawson three years ago.
Amongst the ranks at Stainton Park is former Dale youth player Ben Wharton who made one appearance for Dale as a 90th minute subsititute away at John Coleman's Accrington Stanley.
