At least Diouf wants to play for Leeds...unlike Snodgrass!

Leeds fans hit the boos when the "Sewer Rat" met "The Big S***".

So Neil and El Hadji have put aside their differences over 90 minutes at some function or other!

It's amazing what being skint and hamstrung of any serious resources in the transfer market can do to ones memory.

Beggars cant be choosers and all that! El Hadji Diouf to Leeds was first mooted before the final whistle shrilled on last season and the response from the fans was not that favourable. I edged my beats personally, acknowledging that despite his ability Diouf was perhaps more trouble than he was worth.

He just seems to be an individual who courts more controversy that let his football do the talking, whether it be night club fracas's or the well publicised spitting incidents, surely for a player who has spent nine years I this country should know that spitting is a cultural taboo in our green and pleasant land?

Then there was the il-advised public praise of former Libyan despot Col Gadaffi, before Gadaffi met his grisly end in a Tripoli gutter.I could go on about Diouf's many alleged crimes to humanity but I'm due back in work tomorrow morning at nine!

However in the cold light of day,I'm actually delighted he has come to Leeds and I hope he gets at least a year to prove himself!Due to the takeover situation, Warnock has been denied his stellar signings, Diouf was both cheap and available.

More importantly he wanted to come to Leeds, he said so publically. Undoubtedly a wealthy man, he reportedly was costing Doncaster Rovers a mere £2k per week.

Let's think back to his previous visit to ER, putting the tunnel fracas aside, Diouf was by a country-mile the best player on the pitch on that day, including a certain Robert Snodgrass.

Unlike Snodgrass, Diouf wants to start the 2012/13 season in a Leeds shirt.

So why boo the lad? Yes he might not be everyones cup of tea, but let's give him a chance? If he steps out of line ,then we should get rid but just imagine over the next few weeks when we roll up at grounds that only fill up for Leeds matches with the "We all hate Leeds" saddos, Diouf will give us an extra dimension and seeing how he rose above the abuse we gave him about his hair style, his wife etc last February, he is a player with the rare commodity who can actually handle the pressure in a Leeds shirt.

Dont be a moron and boo him, dont invent a new Elland Road bogeyman in place of Bates! give him a break!

Leeds crush Norwich to cruise through to play-off final
With our recent form being what it was, I was expecting a nervy encounter, with Leeds struggling to get through the Norwich City defence, but how wrong I was! Suddenly we recovered the swagger we have shown for much of the season, and not a moment too soon.
Farke happy with the result after bore draw at Norwich
Many neutrals have complained on social media that yesterday’s game at Norwich City was a bit on the dull side, but the Leeds team wasn't set up to please them. For us it was the result that mattered, and it should leave us in a better position to get through to the final.
Norwich Awaydaze
For the second time this season we are visiting Norwich City, this time for the play-off game at high noon on Sunday, and the kick-off time is of course thanks to our good friends at Sky Sports. You’ll find Carrow Road is about a mile to the south-east of the city centre.

If we were ever going to have a final day miracle we needed a much better performance than this final day showing against Southampton, so now we have to endure the agony of the play-offs yet again.
