"Useless" prepared to draw a line under Paddy-Gate

It is very rare we associate Mark Hughes and common-sense, but the QPR boss appears to be happy to let the Paddy Kenny txt saga come to a conclusion now that Leeds have been "made aware" of the situation....along with the Daily Mail, the Independent, The Sun etc....

Kenny alledgedly sent texts to QPR Chairman Tony Fernandes and Director of Football Mike Rigg mocking the R's 5-0 hammering against Swansea last week, that eternal bastion of decency the Daily Mail even reprinted one which basically Kenny portrayed the role of his replacement Rob Green's agent - I honestly cannot be bothered to regurgitate it word for word but it is on their website if you must.

The Mail also suggested the matter would go as high up as the FA if they were dissatisfied with Leeds response. Neil Warnock gave the matter a cursory mention in his Thursday press-conference which basically said it was an "internal matter" as the club had an internal policy on social networking. When Simon Grayson was in charge Twitter was banned, but a handful of players such as Kenny and recently departed Robbie Rogers do use it.

Kenny has also recently tweeted that QPR were a "tin pot club" and the loathsome Mail could not resist hyperbole about the failed drug-tests and Halifax curry house brawl....zzzzzzz

Man to man, most of us have done something similar, usually in jest often in drink, I remember once taunting a "one night stand" I met in a Stoke on Trent bar that she resembled the Portuguese transsexual Big Brother winner Nadia. Given that I was in Spain at the time and very drunk I awoke to a sore head and no credit left on my mobile.

If Paddy was drunk, there is no suggestion he was, then that would bother me. I am also a little disappointed he was not euphoric about our triumph over Wolves and not to mention the tremendous reception he has received from the Leeds fans since leaving London, why should he care what is happening in West London?

It seems the victims were also happy to conduct the matter through the media?

Maybe it was a bit of banter? Who knows? the final word should go to "old useless" himself.

Mark Hughes said "It does not go anywhere from here. There was some text messages and telephone messages....We felt they were inappropriate, we did not make a formal complaint....it was just two individuals"

Can Red Bull help Leeds to fly back to the top?
Today Leeds announced that Red Bull have bought a minority stake in the club, and will take over as the main shirt sponsor, but thankfully there will be no change in the name of the club or the colour of the shirt.
Marathe admits that PSR is likely to force player sales
The 49ers have plenty of cash available to invest in Leeds United, but defeat in the 49th game of the League season means that some key players will be leaving to keep the club with the Profitability and Sustainability (PSR) regulations.
Play-off jinx continues as Leeds lose to Southampton again

As you probably know already, our play-off final against with Southampton kicks off at 3pm on Sunday. And if you didn’t manage to get your hands on a ticket, it’s live on Sky Sports.
Leeds crush Norwich to cruise through to play-off final
With our recent form being what it was, I was expecting a nervy encounter, with Leeds struggling to get through the Norwich City defence, but how wrong I was! Suddenly we recovered the swagger we have shown for much of the season, and not a moment too soon.
Farke happy with the result after bore draw at Norwich
Many neutrals have complained on social media that yesterday’s game at Norwich City was a bit on the dull side, but the Leeds team wasn't set up to please them. For us it was the result that mattered, and it should leave us in a better position to get through to the final.
Norwich Awaydaze
For the second time this season we are visiting Norwich City, this time for the play-off game at high noon on Sunday, and the kick-off time is of course thanks to our good friends at Sky Sports. You’ll find Carrow Road is about a mile to the south-east of the city centre.
May the 4th not with us as we finish the regular season with a tepid defeat
If we were ever going to have a final day miracle we needed a much better performance than this final day showing against Southampton, so now we have to endure the agony of the play-offs yet again.
