Leeds are "a young Pamela Anderson" - Haigh

GFH Capital's David Haigh has likened Leeds United to a "young Pamela Anderson" in an extraordinary statement today as the Leeds United takeover saga is set to grind on for another THREE WEEKS at least.

Haigh is quoted this morning as saying: "Leeds is like a young Pamela Anderson. It's in great shape, with superb assets and a great future ahead of her.

"Like any big acquisition we have to be thorough and that's the process we're going through right now. We're almost there and, hopefully, within three weeks it could be done.

"We are working incredibly hard to get the deal done but there are procedures and rules which must be followed."

It is not quite as cringeworthy as Papa Smurf's infamous comments asbout "long, drawn-out arousal", then again Tory-supporting lawyer Mr Haigh was talking to The Sun!

Haigh was a guest of Ken Bates last Saturday at the Barnsley game. If his timescale prediction is correct, Leeds will go into the League Cup showdown with Southampton on October 30th with new owners.

On Saturday, Bates accused GFH's lawyers for constantly holding up the process.

Like most Leeds fans, I just wish they would hurry up and get on with it!

Annual accounts show that the club will have to sell players if we don't go up
