Roll on Robbie

Robbie Rogers returned from a loan spell at Stevenage only to be told he is no longer needed at Leeds United! The injury prone American winger agreed to the cancellation of his contract after just one start in a Leeds shirt.

Rogers made three appearances as a sub, including one where he was carried off with a head injury against Doncaster Rovers. He limped off after starting our 4-1 win over Peterborough last April with an ankle injury and spent the summer training with Columbus Crew before scoring in the pre-season win over Farsley.

Next stop was Stevenage on loan where he has hardly set the world alight in Hertfordshire making just nine appearances for the Lamex Stadium side of League One.

The 25 year old is a prolific tweeter, owns a clothes brand and also does some modelling so even if a new club isnt immediately forthcoming he should find plenty to occupy himself.

For Leeds it represents another failed signing of hope rather than proven ability indicative of the Bates era at Elland Road. We wish Robbie well, whichever treatment room he descends upon next!

Annual accounts show that the club will have to sell players if we don't go up
The club released the annual accounts for the 2022/3 season this week, and despite the headline figure of an overall loss of £33.7 million, we’re not in danger of any points deduction for now. But the accumulated losses mean that player sales will be inevitable in the summer if we remain in the Championship.
