This is the Rotherham view www.millernet.co.uk! Swans view to follow.

The Millers gained revenge over Swansea with a goal frenzy at Millmoor, ruining Swansea's good defensive record.

Rotherham started the game showing great skill and ability, showing exactly why they are riding high in the Division Two table! It wasn`t a shock that Mark Robins put the Millers ahead after only five minutes with a deflected first time shot.

Swansea managed to equalise however from an amazing strike by Steve Watkin. He volleyed home from around 20 yards after a chest down by Giovanni Savarese. The goal came against the run of play, which the Millers soon again gained control.

It was a matter of time before Rotherham took the lead back, and surely enough, Darren Garner put the Millers back infront. Mark Robins passed to Paul Hurst who produced a great cross for Garner to head home after the 28th minute. The Millers came out in the second half with exactly the same intentions as the first.

Kevin Watson saw his die hard efforts go rewarded in the 50th minute with his fifth goal of the season to put the Millers 3-1 up. His first shot was blocked but reacted well on the rebound and chipped the keeper nicely. Alan Lee showed again lots of will and determination for Rotherham, and he was duley rewarded with his first goal since joining the Millers a month ago on loan.

It was a great run down the right before he cut inside and produced a left foot shot straight into the back of the net. It was only a matter of time before the plucky Irish lad scored his first goal, and it was worth waiting for. Swansea got a consolation goal in the 80th minute following their first corner of the game!

Matt Bound put the corner ball into the back of the net but it didn`t make a great Millers performance. More performances like this at home from the Millers and the gate receipts should soon double, as it was an entertaining game from start to finish, with the Millers showing how capable they can be.

Annual accounts show that the club will have to sell players if we don't go up
The club released the annual accounts for the 2022/3 season this week, and despite the headline figure of an overall loss of £33.7 million, we’re not in danger of any points deduction for now. But the accumulated losses mean that player sales will be inevitable in the summer if we remain in the Championship.
