Roberto Martinez

"We're on course and we knew it was vital to get three points but we've given ourselves a chance and we can look forward to try and get the next six points available for us," said Martinez. "Sometimes the occasion can get to you and stops you doing the basics because the boys knew how important this was. "The first 10 or 15 minutes we weren't ourselves and we got punished, but it's how we adapted and responded that mattered and that pleases me. "We recognised we didn't start well but we came back and took that challenge. Brighton had nothing to lose in the second half and they are good footballers but we showed good character to win the game. "Now we can look forward to the remaining games and I am sure if we make our tally we will be fine."

Dean Wilkins

"Their strikers were getting the ball just too easily but we changed things and we stemmed the tide," said Wilkins. "But I'm bitterly disappointed with the goals we conceded because we didn't make them work for it. "At half-time I tried to make it clear to them we could have success and in terms of possession I think we were magnificent. "I don't think many teams would have come here and dominated Swansea the way we did but we failed to add to our goal tally and that's been a problem for us all year. "I'm annoyed we've even been near the bottom places because we should have been cemented mid-table by now but we have to learn how to win a game."
