There was never expected to be, but no Swansea players made the PFA League One team of the year at the awards ceremony last night.

Despite, cleaning up at the Swans awards ceremony the night before there was no place for Leon Britton in the League One side which read as follows: -

Joe Murphy - Scunthorpe

John Ostembor - Crewe

Matt Lockwood - Leyton Orient

Terry Skiverton - Yeovil

Ian Breckin - Nottingham Forest

Wesley Hoolahan - Blackpool

Richard Wellens - Oldham

Matt Jarvis - Gillingham

Chris Shuker - Tranmere

Luke Varney - Crewe

Billy Sharp - Scunthorpe

Overall, Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo was crowned both Players' player and young player of the year - the first since Andy Gray to capture both awards in the same season

At the Swans awards dinner held on Saturday at the Liberty Stadium, the following were awarded:

Fans' player of the year - Leon Britton

Away player of the year - Leon Britton

Players' player of the year - Leon Britton

Top Goalscorer - Lee Trundle

Clubman of the year - Darren Way

Lifetime Achievement (Football) - Kris O'Leary

Lifetime Achievement (Non Football) - Reg Pike

Young player of the year - Chris Jones

Annual accounts show that the club will have to sell players if we don't go up
The club released the annual accounts for the 2022/3 season this week, and despite the headline figure of an overall loss of £33.7 million, we’re not in danger of any points deduction for now. But the accumulated losses mean that player sales will be inevitable in the summer if we remain in the Championship.
Stuart Dallas thanks the fans as tributes pour in
Stuart Dallas battled hard for two years to return to the game after his serious injury, but has now had to accept that he can no longer get back to the level of fitness needed to play the game at the top level. Club Chairman Paraag Marathe led the tributes, and the player has sent an emotional open letter to all the Leeds United fans.

We needed to win this game to regain the momentum that seemed to have gone over the international break, but this was another pedestrian performance, without any of the intensity that was needed to break down a determined Sunderland defence.
