Charlton Injury Problems Mount
Charlton are sweating on the fitness of another defender ahead of the Swans arrival on Saturday
Mark Hudson picked up an ankle knock at the weekend as the Addicks suffered a 1-0 friendly loss to Athletico Bilbao leaving them potentially with just one specialist centre back in Jonathan Fortune.
Jose Semedo set to deputise for the suspended Yassin Moutaouakil at right-back whilst the following players are only just due to start their comeback from injuries this week: Nicky Weaver (knee strain), Matt Holland (ankle), Chris Dickson (thigh muscle tear), and Svetoslav Todorov (knee inflammation)
Charlton manager Alan Pardew told Kent Online "Mark has hurt his ankle so we'll be sweating on him a bit
“But believe me, I'll give him until 1pm on Saturday before I make a decision - that's how important he is to us."
Hudson signed at the Valley this summer on a free transfer from Crystal Palace and said at the time of signing "Obviously I need to get in the team first, so I've got to work hard in pre-season, hit the ground running and hopefully get a place in the side.
"But then we've got to look for promotion - that has to be the aim. The team just missed out on the play-offs last season so I think they just need that extra little bit to help them this time."
